Neighborhood
Considered the Philippines' oldest road, Colon Street in downtown Cebu features an array of affordable shops and restaurants frequented by locals. Tracing its origins back to the 16th century, when Spanish conquistadores established a colony here, the street remains the heart of commercial activity in town, maintaining a busy, lively atmosphere, and unfortunately attracting an increased amount of criminal activity. Employ basic safety measurements when shopping or sightseeing in this district. Work out when and for how long to visit Colon Street and other Cebu City attractions using our handy Cebu City trip itinerary planner.

  • I do not understand what should be so great on the colon street... I'm not sure, nor do I want to obviously having to pay a much higher price of tourist... What is cheap anyway comes from China and is to get anywhere in Cebu... For example, at the Juana Osmeña circle, the oldest square of CEBU city and the little streets directly to the Rajah hotel. Excellent copies of the well-known labels... Really good quality... But only copies at a good price...!
