Where to stay in Camiguin

Although a little off the beaten path, Camiguin certainly offers visitors a fair share of lodging options. The island boasts a number of resorts, ranging from high-end to mid-range and budget bungalows and cottages--you can even stay in a treehouse. Most of the places to stay on Camiguin lie beachside, along its northern coast, but you can find a couple of options inland as well, offering easy access to some of the island's famous natural sights. Camiguin can get busy in the high season, so it might be best to book ahead of time if visiting from March to May.

  • This stop wasn't far from the Sunken Cemetery so we stopped over here. It's nice and shady, and a moderate size collection of ruins. The stone color and texture reminded me of Angkor Wat, though the c...  more »

  • We were in awe as went around the ruins. It was a very big church. The pillars are gigantic and it is shame that we will never see its glory again. It was a really good tour and we took a lot of photo...  more »

  • You have to see this place then ask the locals its history! This place is also picture perfect.
  • Ok so like first of all, who the f is Guiob???? I was there for like 45 minutes I didn't see ANYONE named Guiob. How do you even say that name??? gweeobb? guyobb? Who gives their kid a name like that??!! It doesn't make SENSE. So then like, it's supposed to be an old church but basically it's like a ton of red rocks with nothing to buy. You can walk around and I guess you can touch it if you want to but ewww gross, why would you want to get that old crud all over your hands? YUCK. Then I found out that it was made in like 1671 or something. No wonder it's so lame! Who would even want to go to church at that time?? So boring. I guess there was some guy named Majello who came by and was all like, ok let's like make a church here. Yayyy slow clap lol. I'm giving it 2 stars because we ate a casava cracker with chocolate sauce on it after we finally got to stop looking at the old crumpled up church. The cracker was good but it was the sauce that made it. I dripped a little bit onto my shorts but oh well, I guess that's not their fault. If you have nothing better to do and you're like totally bored and into looking at some old square rocks, I guess you could go here. Buy a cracker with chocolate so it won't be a total waste of time.
  • If you want to know things about this place that aren't found in books, look for the groundskeeper. He's very friendly and will tell you everything he knows about this place. Very rich in history and I hope that community continues to preserve it. If you're visiting Camiguin (on any other place), please keep it clean.
  • One of my favorite spot when we visited Camiguin
  • Oldest Church in Camiguin. Really wonderful 👌💯
