Mantigue Island, Camiguin

4.4
#2 of 10 in Nature in Camiguin
Just a short boat ride from Camiguin, Mantigue Island attracts tourists with its white sand, blue water, and a lush backdrop so typical of the Philippines. Coral reefs and exotic marine life thrive just offshore, but look for the drop-off if you want to dive a little deeper. Avid snorkelers may also want to check out the marine sanctuary nearby, which allows you to swim with creatures like sea turtles in their natural setting. Consider taking your own food and drinks, since the island does not offer many amenities. • Much better than Boracay, beach is very clean and with crystal clear water & white powdery sand. Food is available in the island, we just wish that you can stay there overnight.  more »

  • Most beautiful sunrise. Very clear waters. Clean surroundings.
  • A perfect place for those who want to relax. Very peaceful and beautiful island. 😊
  • Beautiful place! Boat there costs 600php not including fee per person. But the boat price can be shered up to six people. Every thing at the island costs money like swimming inside the 'nice' areas , and sitting under the shade. But worth it.
  • It's beautiful, seriously, spend the day, eat some food, go snorkeling, do nothing if you like. It's beautiful.
  • very clean white fine sand... clear water..... very good for beach lover.. an island with trees....

Where to stay in Camiguin

Although a little off the beaten path, Camiguin certainly offers visitors a fair share of lodging options. The island boasts a number of resorts, ranging from high-end to mid-range and budget bungalows and cottages--you can even stay in a treehouse. Most of the places to stay on Camiguin lie beachside, along its northern coast, but you can find a couple of options inland as well, offering easy access to some of the island's famous natural sights. Camiguin can get busy in the high season, so it might be best to book ahead of time if visiting from March to May.
