Ardent Hot Springs, Camiguin

3.1
#4 of 10 in Nature in Camiguin
Have a good soak at Ardent Hot Springs, tucked into the side of a volcano. The clear, naturally sourced water comes into four separate pools with various temperatures. Spend some time in the hotter ones, and then refresh yourself in the colder ones. The site has a small restaurant, and the surroundings are perfect for a picnic. • We visited here way back 2013 and it was really great because the water was hot and relaxing. It was disappointing this 2017 because the water is not as hot as before. Just a little warm. What happene...  more »

  • The hot springs are very relaxing. One dip and you'd feel pretty lethargic. The pools were divided into four categories. One for the kids, one for the adults (this one has a 6-foot deep one), one for teens (I'm not that sure, we tried them all), one is the hottest spring.
  • Love this hot springs!! (Not very hot by the way). It's nice there to rest for 1 or 2 hours and see local people enjoying to spend time here.
  • This was very beautiful and well maintained but the water wasn't really warm like I expected
  • Hot Spring no more. Only one pool is warm. The rest are all cold. Name should be changed to Ardent "Cold" Spring!
  • The sprigs are perfect ! But there is a lot of people, locals or tourist. The rooms are kind of dirty and the food ain't that great....

Where to stay in Camiguin

Although a little off the beaten path, Camiguin certainly offers visitors a fair share of lodging options. The island boasts a number of resorts, ranging from high-end to mid-range and budget bungalows and cottages--you can even stay in a treehouse. Most of the places to stay on Camiguin lie beachside, along its northern coast, but you can find a couple of options inland as well, offering easy access to some of the island's famous natural sights. Camiguin can get busy in the high season, so it might be best to book ahead of time if visiting from March to May.
