  • walked past the market on our way to the beach. A lot of seafood so smells fishy. Also the wet ground from the rains during the night made the experience rather unpleasant.  more »
  • A good living mother crab, 4,501. Live skin shrimp, mother, a medium on the upper side, a price of 1350, counter-offer to 800, will not move again, it is said to be 500 less than the best words. As foreigners, the price of the local slaughter is necessary, the bargaining power is limited, to be psychologically prepared. Nearby processing shop, per kilogram according to 250-260 calculation. Try to bargain and pick out the good stuff. Hope that local operators can be honest.

Where to stay in Boracay

Boracay holds a daunting number of hotels, guesthouses, and hostels, especially given its size. Just along the main central beach, choose between dozens of four- and five-star resorts, as well as mid-range hotels and guesthouses, all of which come at reasonable rates. For a romantic, tropical atmosphere, opt to stay in one of the wooden huts and bungalows that face the beach or circle grassy central compounds. The peak tourism season lasts from November to May, when prices rise and availability shrinks, so you'll want to book ahead of time.
