D' Talipapa Market, Boracay

3.4
#1 of 8 in Shopping in Panay Island
Buy fresh, quality seafood at D' Talipapa Market, selling a wide range of fish and shellfish. After buying it fresh, you can take it to a restaurant and have it prepared according to your preference. The cooking service provides all the necessities for dining, such as side dishes and drinks. In addition to seafood, you can purchase chicken, pork, fruit, and vegetables. Feel free to bargain with the vendors, because they often set higher prices for tourists. Some vendors sell other products, so consider browsing for souvenirs while here. • Been here many times. Way back before it is clean and organized. But as I visit here today January2018, it's now terribly bad. The clean restos inside offering "paluto" (restos who offer to cook what ...  more »
  • This is a seafood market, there are colorful fish, lobster, crabs, dragon lobster, clams, oyster and so on. Some of them are bigger than your forearms. When you buy food here, you have to bargain. First, you need to have market price ideas. Next, reduce the money to about half. After you've bought your food, you can take it to a nearby small restaurant and ask them to do your favorite style and taste.

  • I did not enjoy the lunch at D'Talipapa, with the following reasons: 1. The seafood market was very noisy and the vendors were quite intimidating. 2. The seafood appeared cheap. However, the cooking f...  more »

  • Huge market with stalls selling the same things. Other than the wet market part/seafood restaurants, take some time to walk through the different stalls to get your souvenirs! I personally didn't buy anything, but I'd imagine things to be cheaper here than D'Mall.
  • Not a good place to eat. Expensive seafoods and unclean environment.
  • Nice market, fair price on seafood. Please improvements on flooding matter.
  • always right to visit traditional market of the town. sellers are friendly and fun. sorry for the discount but extra is a plus^^ Across the JNC electronics store 'beach camp' is the perfect place as there is air conditioner!!!!!!
  • An alternative to street food for cheap (or rather, less expensive) eats in Boracay

Where to stay in Boracay

Boracay holds a daunting number of hotels, guesthouses, and hostels, especially given its size. Just along the main central beach, choose between dozens of four- and five-star resorts, as well as mid-range hotels and guesthouses, all of which come at reasonable rates. For a romantic, tropical atmosphere, opt to stay in one of the wooden huts and bungalows that face the beach or circle grassy central compounds. The peak tourism season lasts from November to May, when prices rise and availability shrinks, so you'll want to book ahead of time.
