Tinuy-an Falls, Bislig

4.5
#1 of 6 in Things to do in Bislig
Due to its handsome aspect, Tinuy-an Falls has been featured in numerous international advertisments and affords visitors picturesque photo opportunities. An impressive 95 m (311 ft) wide and soaring 55 m (180 ft) high, the cascade is sometimes referred to as the little Niagara Falls of the Philippines. Regarded as the widest waterfall in the country, the curtain of water descends three tiers through the verdant jungle surroundings. You can ride rafts up to the deluge to enjoy a "water massage," and look out for a rainbow that occurs around the cascade daily between 9 and 11 am, when the rising sun catches the water at just the right angle. • I would highly suggest to take the bamboo raft ride (costs 150php). It would take you close to the falls and it was really fun. You can also jump into the water (life vest is required). Then go to the...  more »
  • This place is amazing. You can hike to the second tier of the falls, it is a little scary being up there but pretty awesome at the same time. They make a "guide" go with you, I think we tipped him lik...  more »
  • The falls are nice, and it was fun; but the restrooms, changing rooms and other facilities could use some work.  more »

  • It was a relaxing place to chill in! Fresh air and no pollution. The falls were amazing and water is very cold and fresh. This is perfect for family bonding for this summer season. So if you want to visit Philippines, try Surigao City were tinuy-an falls can be found. There is Lodge and travelers inn for accommodation. Cheap transportation and very safe to go.
  • Its a beautiful place to visit. and its very affordable . though they have to put more cottages. the stairs needs to be renovate. but all in all it's really a must visit destination.
  • There is an environmental fee of Php 50. The place is definitely enchanting. It is well maintained. For Php150 per person, you can rent a bamboo raft to get closer to the falls. You can go up to its second and third level during dry season. The second and third level have fewer tourists so you can go on an uninterrupted dip. I think you are required to be accompanied by a guide if you want to explore that area. There is no fix rate on how much you can give them as a tip. I gave my guide Php 70 since I travel solo and I just stayed here for a few minutes.
  • Experience the beauty of nature.Amazing creation of God.The place is well maintained by under its LGU.Entrance fee of P50.A table rented for P100.Wooden raft for a closer experience of the falling water for P150 for 8persons,should be wearing life vest for P35/each.Food are also available along the entrance,a bit expensive though.Yet you can request them to cook for your food and serve it where your table for rent was set in facing the falls.
  • Nice view. Nice scenery. Too hot in the morning though. The road is halfway cemented and halfway rough road.
