Trip Planner: Asia / Philippines / Luzon / Calabarzon Region / Batangas Province / Batangas City / Lake Taal
Spend a peaceful, nature-adorned day at Lake Taal, one of the largest lakes in the country with its own island in the middle-- which is also an active volcano. You can take a boat ride to reach the island, and once there you have the chance to climb the side of the volcano on horseback. The trip can be physically demanding-- consider wearing sports shoes and sports clothing. Plan to see Lake Taal and other attractions that appeal to you using our Batangas City trip itinerary planning website .

Lake Taal Reviews
Aussicht ist super aber jeder tricicle Fahrer will einem einen Boots Trip andrehen. Habe in der Stunde bis zu 20 hey Boss anfragen gehabt. Den Preis von 2500 kann man auf 1500 drücken mit runter fahre... more »Vista is great but each tricicle driver wants to turn a boat trip to one. Had in the hour up to 20 inquiries hey Boss. You can put the price of 2500 to 1500 go down. Up to 6 people with cuddly then it becomes on the nutshell. Arrived pays you enter per kopps 100 pesos. Then it runs the mountain high, no shadow, everything in the Vulcan dust, makes an image of the crater is not quite as cool looking as I had hoped and runs power down again with the tourists. You need a guide really not there is only one way. You can take a half dead horse for high for 400 but 90 percent of the animals look like as they would just starve and fall over. The animals be made as properly done and even I as a welfare found to blatantly holdouts the whole. Comes on it also time for breaking one of the poor animals together with thick Europeans so people überlegts you better twice if your want to hold the seams. On the way back, you have to give gas otherwise the boat costs extra to wait for 90 minutes. Yes enough water to take and in the morning hours. It is damn hot and people know how suburban is milking the tourists ;) For the way back we the tricicle driver 300 have get on already steep what law seemed expensive to me, but is it mountain. The drive to the Lake is definitely det hammer and the söllte beautifully so you do not miss. Whether you need to see the island all thing and part of tourists snake be... So I would not even do time ;)
To get to the volcano you must take a 20 minute boat ride on a banka. It was slightly overcast the day I went and the water was choppy. I was also the only guest in the boat. The wind kicked up and I ... more »
We got a boat ride via Taal Lake to travel to the Taal volcano. Had fun during the boat ride with water splashing on us. Do get a change of clothes as one can tend to get drenched. more »
It was a scary boat ride going to the volcano due to strong wind but we reached safely. The horses that are for rent look frail, not a difficult hike. My 7 yr old nephew reached the crater with no sweat 😝 the view is breath taking! Amazing nature!
Beautiful fresh Water lake. It's famous lake product is Tilapia fish. So tasty and there isn't any hints of soil taste that even people who doesn't like fish couldn't resist it after the first taste.
Really fell in loved with this place TAGAYTAY the view so captivating and awesome. Make it number one next destination in your vacation list.
Beautiful place don't miss it
This is the only place we didn't like during our trip to Philippines. Everything there is too expensive, comparing to another islands. We understand that local people need to survive somehow and tourists are their main income , but what we've seen was too much. First you need to rent a boat to get to the foot of the volcano, then you can pay for the horse riding or go hiking to the top. The place is too crowded, when you go hiking, all the time you must watch out and give way to the horses carrying tourists on their backs. By the way, if you decide to pay for the horse riding, be ready that you'll not be able to ride by yourself - the guide will be sitting behind you and holding reins. When you get on the top the only thing you can do there is to take pictures or maybe have a drink. You can't get closer to the lake, perhaps of safety reasons. So in total it's boring. No doubt, the views are breathtaking but it's not worth efforts and money you've put.
