Spend a peaceful, nature-adorned day at Lake Taal, one of the largest lakes in the country with its own island in the middle-- which is also an active volcano. You can take a boat ride to reach the island, and once there you have the chance to climb the side of the volcano on horseback. The trip can be physically demanding-- consider wearing sports shoes and sports clothing.
