Tappiyah Falls, Banaue

4.5
#3 of 23 in Nature in Cordillera Region
Follow narrow pathways and steep staircases to arrive at the majestic Tappiyah Falls. Start the route in Batad Village and climb paths through the rice terraces, where you’ll be greeted by friendly locals who are hard at work. The trek will take you up and down plenty of steps, which have been carved into the rocks along hair-raising paths on the edge of cliffs. After a demanding trek, you’ll be ready to dive into the ice-cold waters upon arrival at the picturesque waterfall. Although suitable for all fitness levels, the route is considered strenuous. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the journey. After a day of hiking this is the perfect place to cool off. A guide is not necessary its fairly easy to reach this waterfall. Takes about an hour to get here from where you pay the environmental fee (first time I went it was 25 pesos, second time I came which was a month later all they asked for was a donation)

The ever-so-cold water of the fall is still as inviting as it is way back when I first set eyes on it. The trail along the way though is exhausting. It's perfect for the thrill seekers and for those people who have a great stamina.
