Tappiyah Falls, Banaue

4.6
Follow narrow pathways and steep staircases to arrive at the majestic Tappiyah Falls. Start the route in Batad Village and climb paths through the rice terraces, where you’ll be greeted by friendly locals who are hard at work. The trek will take you up and down plenty of steps, which have been carved into the rocks along hair-raising paths on the edge of cliffs. After a demanding trek, you’ll be ready to dive into the ice-cold waters upon arrival at the picturesque waterfall. Although suitable for all fitness levels, the route is considered strenuous. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the journey. Take the guesswork out of planning a Banaue vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

  • We booked the 2 day 1 night trek with our guesthouse in Banaue. This took us from Banaue to Pula, Cambulo and Batad. It was one of the best treks I have done. The views are amazing! The falls are beau...  more »
  • the place in located in Batad, 45 minutes walk down from Rice Terraces [going up is more painful], the best time to get there is aroung 3p.m. to see the sun hiding.  more »
  • Situated at the bottom point of Batad rice terraces, and the farthest point of visit. Looks gorgeous and the swimming pool is quite refreshing although it's not good idea to swim closely to the falls.  more »

  • An effort to take just to see it, but very well worth it. Local guides will approach you, but it seems that you can do without one. Its about 400m down the ravine, at least an hour walk through rice paddies and a lot of stairs. But what a place! Govt tourist offices should look into it, it is something that can still be improved, will all the tourist that ww saw, it will be good for the community income
  • The fall is of course impressive and beautiful, but the way to get there is the real experience.
  • One of the big awesome Waterfalls in island of Luzon, accessible from Batad Rice Terraces, w/ a challenging concrete stairs. For a guaranteed awesome experience contact me on my Facebook page Aventura Rippermania.
  • Awesome falls. Be there early to avoid massive crowds
  • The view was breathtaking. The hike to and from the falls was quite a challenge but the reward of seeing the view of the falls and the Batad rice terraces was great.
