Tappiyah Falls, Banaue

4.5
#3 of 9 in Things to do in Banaue
Waterfall Nature / Park
Follow narrow pathways and steep staircases to arrive at the majestic Tappiyah Falls. Start the route in Batad Village and climb paths through the rice terraces, where you’ll be greeted by friendly locals who are hard at work. The trek will take you up and down plenty of steps, which have been carved into the rocks along hair-raising paths on the edge of cliffs. After a demanding trek, you’ll be ready to dive into the ice-cold waters upon arrival at the picturesque waterfall. Although suitable for all fitness levels, the route is considered strenuous. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the journey. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Tappiyah Falls and many more Banaue attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Banaue holiday planner.

  • A very worthy detour on your way to the rice terraces of Batad, quite impressive and beautifully refreshing to swim in too but beware of the currents in the water. the steep stairs leading down to the...  more »
  • I walked here on a rainy day so the waterfall was powerful but I couldn't swim here. The walk from Batad is challenging but fun. I went with a guide. Wear good non-slip shoes.  more »

  • After a day of hiking this is the perfect place to cool off. A guide is not necessary its fairly easy to reach this waterfall. Takes about an hour to get here from where you pay the environmental fee (first time I went it was 25 pesos, second time I came which was a month later all they asked for was a donation)
  • The ever-so-cold water of the fall is still as inviting as it is way back when I first set eyes on it. The trail along the way though is exhausting. It's perfect for the thrill seekers and for those people who have a great stamina.
  • Quite nice falls and hike.
  • Nice fall accesbible in a day walk
  • A bit of a hike to get there but well worth it. Also its easy to get there by yourself you dont need a local guide.
