Hapao Rice Terraces, Banaue

(4.8/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Take a light trek through Hapao Rice Terraces, a natural sanctuary and a World Heritage Site. Learn from the locals about their farming traditions and the heritage of Ifugaos as you hike along the stone walls of the terraces, which take you down to the foot of the mountain. Surrounded by hills, walking along the trail through the rice terraces makes a truly memorable experience, with only the blowing wind creating any background noise. Hire a guide to give you a more detailed impression of the region, and also to show you the hidden hot spring. When walking, be careful not to cause damage to your surroundings. • 40 minutes by tricycle, of beautiful rice fields with perfect off of the hot springs, after the night bus.

  • First day of visit with our guide, nora atolba, and we get used to the markets in Philippine Rice. Very useful step to acclimatize at the height of the altitude of the ifugao rice. The walk ends with a lime bath naturally heated by the emanations of suffers. If you want to discover the North, the culture of local communities, the diversity of the landscapes and daily life of the villagers of the see, this first step is made for you. It is difficult find a good guide without going through a French Agency so I'll leave the details of my excellent guide nora_atolba@rocketmail.com
