Mountain Nature / Park
Climb the highest peak in Luzon at Mt. Pulag National Park, a summit rising nearly 3,000 m (9,840 ft) above sea level. The well-maintained trail and great conditions make this ascent suitable for even beginners, but keep in mind that temperatures drop toward the top, so consider bringinbg extra layers of clothing. Once you've reached the top, the climb rewards you with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and a sea of clouds, forming a famous sight in the area. During your trek, keep your eyes peeled for threatened species, such as the Philippine deer and the long-haired fruit bat. Try to reach the peak before dawn to catch the awesome view of the sun rising above the clouds. Plan your visit to Mt. Pulag National Park and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Baguio holiday planner.

Where to stay in Baguio

Look for upscale accommodations near Burnham Park, where you can check into a room with views over the central green area. Some resorts farther out of the city center make use of the increase in space by offering pools, onsite restaurants, and other amenities. Bed and breakfasts provide the more budget-conscious traveler with a comfortable place to rest after a long day of adventuring. You'll find these establishments on the outskirts of town, or along the side streets in and around the city center.

  • They may say that Mt. Pulag is already crowded. Yes it is but only on peak or climbing season. Try climbing the mountain from June to August and you will see how majestic this mountain is.  more »

  • Great for tourist, just mind the guidelines and regulations of the park. The view is awesome at the top, especially the sunrise. This is newbie friendly for first time hikers, because it has two trails one easier which is good for beginners and another that is harder for veteran or people looking for a challenge. You can find almost anything you need at the Ranger Station and the locals are very friendly.
  • The mountain and trail are well preserved by the park rangers and locals. Ambangeg trail offers stunning views and easy trail that even beginners can easily enjoy.
  • Great view for sea of clouds. Guides are very friendly and accommodating. There are latrines but sometimes are out of order so be ready and bring shovel just in case.
  • Wonderful scenery and very satisfying after a tiring treck.
  • When you get to the summit, it's very rewarding. Stunning view!!!
