  • Nice walk with beautiful views on the island, it takes 1 to 2 hours, the lighthouse has no interest but the ride's worth in the late afternoon after days of dives.

  • C is a small market (who still climbs) 20 min, to reach the lighthouse, the view is not really great at the top, but that merit to change environment between 2 dives! There is another point of view however that is worth more, a footpath from the village! Normally it is indicated otherwise the question.

  • The photo was not popular at the lighthouse of Apo... There is strictly no view, after ascension! There are some other much better trails!

  • This island is great, not crowded at all when snorkeling compared to Thailand. Very few boats around and the water is so clear you can easily see 30-40 ft down. Well worth the visit if you plan on visiting Siquijor and make sure to bring sunscreen as the sun is very strong down here!
  • Second time to visit this wonderful place. Swimming with sea turtles will become a reality after you visit this place. How to get there? 1. From Dumaguete City take the Ceres bus and get off at Malatapay port crossing. You can inform the bus conductor that you will get off from there so that you won't miss it or use Google Maps to track your location. 2. From the Malatapay port crossing you will need to walk which is about 5-10 minutes. 3. You will now need to charter a boat to Apo Island and the updated price I will post on one of the pictures. Enjoy!
  • One of the best coral covers in the Philippines. Even though it was recently struck by super typhoon Haiyan, the fish and coral communities are consistently being replenished because of the interventions of Apo local community and Siliman Univeristy. You can never dive or snorkel here without seeing a single turtle. We've seen 5 when we visited last June. It was wonderful. You don't have to worry about food or snorkeling gears since the locals offer it for very cheap prices.
  • Apo island has marine sanctuaries protected by the government. The corals are live and beautiful. And there are plenty of sea turtles. It’s best to go snorkeling on lean seasons and early in the morning to enjoy seeing the large sea turtles without bumping into other tourists in the water. Guides are mandatory when snorkeling and interacting with the large green sea turtles. Life jackets are also mandatory for guests. Apo islandFees 100php/pax environmental fee. Cheaper rates for locals 300php guide/4pax 100php Snorkel/fins rental 100php life jacket rental 300php (optional) table rental Note: 1) Order your lunch before you snorkel. It takes time to prepare and it’s better to have food ready post snorkeling than wait out more than 30mins for your food when you’re already tired and hungry 2) Wear aqua shoes. Some stones in the shallow are sharp.
  • Best corals I’ve seen it even beats Palawan. Kudos to the boats here because they don’t use the standard anchors which damages corals but instead they use pre anchored ropes.
