  • That Php 45 entrance fee is not worth it! It's like a makeshift zoo with an entertainer that screams like a monkey. Terrible.  more »

  • We took a tour in the land of Bohol to see the Chocolate Hills and the tarsiers. In the tour, other visits were included even if they didn't particularly interest us: a centre with summarily butterflies, a boat trip on the Loboc River, and the sanctuary of the pythons. The latter was horrible. Snakes are locked in dirty cages. Some are even locked in tiny boxes without the outside view. There are those who are constantly upset because they are being manipulated to impress visitors. Worse still, while it's a "sanctuary" for pythons, there was also chickens, turkeys, and even an Eagle locked in tiny cages. All these poor animals need space to live and fly. Alas, it was not at all the case. Finally, there was also some monkeys in other cages. All cages are dirty, small, and do not try to imitate the natural environment of these animals. This "sanctuary" is a shame. Don't go above all, even if the guide is insistent. It is what you do a maximum of visits because each visit he pocketed his commission. Indeed, the price of the inputs is not included in the price of the tour and this is not always clearly announced at the purchase of the tour. In any case, the driver or the guide don't care about the well-being of the animals.
