  • I have been to the Bole Beach Club resort a few days with his wife and young children. We had pretty well. The place is quite rustic and away from all-inclusive resorts. There are rooms of various types. We stayed in a spacious bungalow, but there are even more "features" like nipa huts on stilts. The resort is directly on the beach for a long stretch presents low water. Great for small children, less for those who enjoy swimming. There is an area of the coast where they grow algae whereby, if the sea is rough fills with algae. The cabin was equipped with bathroom with shower, air conditioning, mosquito nets, fridge, window and balcony with sea view. There, in a common area of the village, a small cooking area, a bar, karaoke. Small shops are within walking distance, with basic necessities, and the homes of local fishermen where with 200 pesos you can take 1 Kg of fish to cook in the kitchen. You need the car to get to Alaminos and make a charge. There is no restaurant and no breakfast included. In the morning they pass though street vendors from which on can buy something for breakfast. For 2500 pesos you can take for a day the boat with two crew members, who accompany you to go round the Hundred Islands. In this case, bring some money with you because you have to pay admission to the Park and to feed the crew (200 pesos).

  • In my opinion, there is nothing much special about Bolo Beach especially if you are a frequent traveler who's been to Anawangin, Galera, Boracay, Honda Bay or El Nido. The sand is far from white and t...  more »
