Los Manglares de Puerto Pizarro, Tumbes

3.7
#1 of 6 in Things to do in Tumbes Region
Explore Los Manglares de Puerto Pizarro, a largely untamed area of biological diversity and impressive greenery. Take a boat tour to see major waterways and mangrove forests that hug their sides. Bring your binoculars to spot flamingos, boobies, and pelicans, and keep your eyes peeled for crocs. Numerous tour groups operate here, with some taking visitors off to local zoos rather than the wilderness. Ask around about the experience you can book before you settle on a single operator. It is a nice walk, is exciting to ride a boat into the mangroves, see wildlife and flora is wonderful. Mangares them is an extraordinary plant transformed the saltwater into freshwater. You can take a tourt from Tumbes or mancora or go directly to puerto Pizarro and there rent a boat

This place is very cute. It made my super fun vacation. They made us a tour through the mangroves, we visited many things and we met the mangroves.

We return with my children and grandchildren after a few years, sad to find that this site private with lot of projection has not been able to improve its tourist offer, as soon as one arrives assail it by intermediaries for the boat ride to the island of love and kennel crocodile offering tours for S/150 when S/80 is normal, if there is to be careful what have offered chalupa as vests and other security requirements. Love Island disappeared in a storm and what is left of the only whale bone island is recommended for bathing with certain limitations. In the spring, there are a number of minimum payments as of departure, entrance ticket to the kennel. Handicrafts are interesting because offer snails, corals, sea shells, and others at very reasonable cost, availability of food if it is not highly recommended. For transport, it is best to hire taxi service from Tumbes

Where to stay in Tumbes

High-rise hotels in the city center offer basic rooms and few additional facilities. If you're going to spend a while in the area, consider accommodations farther along the coast. Take the coastal road west out of town to find pleasant seaside resorts and hotels with extensive views of the Pacific.
