  • Very close to the historical square in the city of Trujillo, is the first Toy Museum in Latin America. Dolls, whistles, puppets, little horses of wood, Tin soldiers, trains, rattles, and thousands of toys in which one can observe the transformation of cities from the Prehispanic era until the 1950's, all of this in a sample over time reflected in 'best friends' of the little house. You can see toys from different parts of the world, which reflect customs, fashions and socio-cultural parameters. The Museum was created by the artist Gerardo Chávez, who after many years of collecting toys, which was acquired on multiple trips, decided to buy a House abandoned close to the Centre of the city of eternal spring. To restore it, the artist has did not know exactly what would use it, until he decided to create a sample of toys that he manufactured and acquired from the hands of friends and acquaintances, one day decided to give his hometown which are perhaps their most prized possessions in his life. The Toy Museum houses more than 130 pieces from different periods, being one of the oldest kind of whistle of the Virú culture, with 2,300 years old, i.e., from pre Columbian era. We can also find toys of beginning of century and from different countries

  • I like the amount of classic toys that are in place, there are antique mostly toys, made in detail and from different backgrounds, an interesting place to relive childhood, the bad thing was that to enter one must climb stairs quite steep and without lighting, I went with my father and it cost much work to have to go up and then down Besides the darkness hindered a better view of the steps where he walked
