We were a Wednesday night to drink. The place is cute, very close to the Centre of Trujillo, well decorated in the classic style. When we opened the letter, they had beer and classic beers, so we are encouraged by the artisan. We asked them and they had not. We then ask the commercial beer and neither had! There was no one, or Pilsen Trujillo is the classical order in the city. We gave him an opportunity to place, and we ask for two glasses of wine, and nothing, neither had. They only had wine by the bottle, already the stock of wine was over them by the glass "because it is what they ask for more". They were 8 overnight, not 11 pm! We attended a very friendly lady that encouraged us to stay and try out cocktails, but we had to go. Hopefully the administrator better calculate the stock of the place. Luck!

Very nice experience and is something new and innovative, although the place is a bit small, looks nice, some toys are very close together and not be appreciated at all.

We paid 7 soles for the entrance. It's really nice but not so many toys, only 4 rooms of exhibition.  more »

Very close to the historical square in the city of Trujillo, is the first Toy Museum in Latin America. Dolls, whistles, puppets, little horses of wood, Tin soldiers, trains, rattles, and thousands of toys in which one can observe the transformation of cities from the Prehispanic era until the 1950's, all of this in a sample over time reflected in 'best friends' of the little house. You can see toys from different parts of the world, which reflect customs, fashions and socio-cultural parameters. The Museum was created by the artist Gerardo Chávez, who after many years of collecting toys, which was acquired on multiple trips, decided to buy a House abandoned close to the Centre of the city of eternal spring. To restore it, the artist has did not know exactly what would use it, until he decided to create a sample of toys that he manufactured and acquired from the hands of friends and acquaintances, one day decided to give his hometown which are perhaps their most prized possessions in his life. The Toy Museum houses more than 130 pieces from different periods, being one of the oldest kind of whistle of the Virú culture, with 2,300 years old, i.e., from pre Columbian era. We can also find toys of beginning of century and from different countries

Where to stay in Trujillo

Trujillo offers surprisingly few sleeping options for a city of its size, featuring only a few mid-range hotels suitable for the majority of visitors. If all you need is a decent bed in a quiet part of town, look for hostels catering to budget travelers. Visitors who don't need to stay in Trujillo itself can also consider the nearby beach town of Huanchaco, which offers more choices at a range of prices.
