  • It is a modern Museum, offers all the services and they exhibit all the objects found in place. It is well organized and distributed, interesting videos, runs with a guide and in the end the great attraction of the mummy of the Lady of Cao and its representation from the faces of the current inhabitants of the area. At the end of the route there is the opportunity to portray themselves as the Lady of Cao women or as a Moche Warrior the males, is worthwhile, it's fun. In addition there is a shop where souvenirs and books can be purchased. Memories are very original designs, good materials, hardly meet those designs and quality in other sites. Nearby is the village of Magdalena de Cao to give a good lunch, the village is quiet and beautiful, good photos there are taken off. A point for improvement with respect to the Museum is the guide too fast runs, this prevents that the visitor can better appreciate the details of objects and videos because many details are lost due to high when going too fast, in my case I had to go back to SEC UIR seeing after the journey. It is approximately 45 minutes by car from Huanchaco via the coastal road, a good landscape from the sea but need more signs to get, someone who doesn't know to be missed, as in my case, I got to wondering. On the Panamerican highway is well signposted, but there is a toll. It goes with light clothing and shoes. In summer take a hat and sunscreen. In General, it is highly recommended to visit it, they can not miss it if they are in Trujillo, they will have good times... like me :)

  • We talked much about the Lady of Cao, so a weekend we decided to go to learn about its history and its Museum, upon arrival we entered the town of Magdalena de Cao, a people nice, then we arrive at the archaeological complex, we visit the place where is made the excavations of the Lady of Cao, after the tour, we saw how wonderful it found, the Señora de Cao, and all the gold and silver that he kept his tomb, is something admirable, as this culture was so much wealth, I recommend you get to know them yourself.

  • Located one hour from the city of Trujillo, approximately. A place full of impressive history, a museum well arranged, great view of the surroundings of the area from the top of the huaca and more when the sun sets. Do not forget to pass by the drink 'stale Cao' by the village near the Museum.

Where to stay in Trujillo

Trujillo offers surprisingly few sleeping options for a city of its size, featuring only a few mid-range hotels suitable for the majority of visitors. If all you need is a decent bed in a quiet part of town, look for hostels catering to budget travelers. Visitors who don't need to stay in Trujillo itself can also consider the nearby beach town of Huanchaco, which offers more choices at a range of prices.
