  • It is extraordinary to travel into the past and imagine all that surrounded Lady or Lady of Cao, almost divine personage, the moche culture that ruled 1700 BC and imagine the reasons for their power. Until its discovery always thought that power was held exclusively by men but the riches found in his tomb were determined that it was a very powerful woman.

  • Great visit! The Museum and the huaca we visited are in perfect condition, order and with much information. Very good guides and shop with singularities. The Moche very well chose the place: sea, the cane fields, the tranquility. The village of Cao is very nice tmb. It transports you to another era. Finally: ceviche at El Embrujo.

  • Place, energy, weather, breezes are welcome and if you connect with the Lady of Cao, ineffable is their energy. The only thing which holidays does not recommend a visit, since the guides are not given enough because they do not allow to make the run on their own, in contrast to other dates.

  • Spectacular. I recommend. A culture of more than 14 thousand years. Fantastic

  • Located one hour from the city of Trujillo, approximately. A place full of impressive history, a museum well arranged, great view of the surroundings of the area from the top of the huaca and more when the sun sets. Do not forget to pass by the drink 'stale Cao' by the village near the Museum.

Where to stay in Trujillo

Trujillo offers surprisingly few sleeping options for a city of its size, featuring only a few mid-range hotels suitable for the majority of visitors. If all you need is a decent bed in a quiet part of town, look for hostels catering to budget travelers. Visitors who don't need to stay in Trujillo itself can also consider the nearby beach town of Huanchaco, which offers more choices at a range of prices.
