This place is one hour from Trujillo, the road is long but worth if you like what are the mummies. There is the Lady of cao, showing through a mirror. That Museum is interesting, but if you go by the archaeological site, does not recommend it because it is very similar to the huaca of the Moon, but this last is much better preserved!

Even though the Museum is very small and has very few elements, the Señora de Cao takes all the plus to go. Really it shows the work of study and conservation. I would without any doubt.

Located one hour from the city of Trujillo, approximately. A place full of impressive history, a museum well arranged, great view of the surroundings of the area from the top of the huaca and more when the sun sets. Do not forget to pass by the drink 'stale Cao' by the village near the Museum.

Where to stay in Trujillo

Trujillo offers surprisingly few sleeping options for a city of its size, featuring only a few mid-range hotels suitable for the majority of visitors. If all you need is a decent bed in a quiet part of town, look for hostels catering to budget travelers. Visitors who don't need to stay in Trujillo itself can also consider the nearby beach town of Huanchaco, which offers more choices at a range of prices.
