Uncover the secrets of the ancient Moche culture at El Brujo, one of the most important archeological sites in modern day Peru. Built sometime between the 2nd and 7th century CE, the ruined pyramid displays a range of detailed reliefs and murals depicting the Moche way of life, as well as evidence of later Lambayeque and Chimú influences. Examine the still-preserved tattoos on the body of Señora de Cao, the first governess discovered in Peru, whose remains rest at the site. Consider the importance of her discovery--it suggests that traditional cultures more than a millennium old placed some degree of importance on gender equality. • Both the huaca itself as a site Museum, well worth the trip from Trujillo. In particular, together with the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum (both, of the city and the site), are the three best museums of the Peru. The quality of the cure, it architecture, it information, them parts, the sequence, the explanations are of luxury. Did you know that the famous pututu of Spondylus, which used the curacas of the North in their rites and ceremonies as seen in different prints, was a mollusc "down" from Ecuador when a child (probably looking for colder waters) was approaching and that therefore the shaman or curaca could predict that I was coming a phenomenon of child and therefore take precautions by able? This is an example of what one can learn in this Museum, as well as the famous tattooed Mummy whose still preserved in skin tattoos are creepy!
