Paseo Civico, Tacna

4.3
Check out the art and history presented by Paseo Civico, a classic walk through the center of Tacna. The area is best known for its Parabolic Arch, a memorial dedicated to the solders of the War of the Pacific. Built of pink stone, the monument remains an important symbol of Peruvian independence. On Sundays, a ceremony to honor the Peruvian flag is carried out in front of the arch. For Paseo Civico and beyond, use our Tacna trip planner to get the most from your Tacna vacation.

It is a very nice and safe, flower-filled promenade and the source is identical to the one we have in Valparaíso in plaza de "La Victoria"

Located in the Centre of the city, is on the Avenue, you can take some photos for the memory of your visit to Tacna. It is the most symbolic of this city, with a few colonial buildings, close this and you can also go to the Cathedral which is very beautiful and also arc. Do not take too long, is a small place but very beautiful that you must visit

Unlike the cities with Fundación Española, with Plaza de Armas, Tacna has the iconic Civic Tour, which begins with the monument Tacneña women, his love and surrender in the defense of Tacna at the time of the occupation followed by the emblematic parabolic arch, sheltered by the giants of the Peruvian, Grau and Bolognesi glory. Followed by the battery of ornamental detailing the 4 station and the no less important Cathedral of Tacna, exquisite jewels full of history and love of country

If you see Esperanza, tell her Jerry is looking for her. He loves her... He misses her.

The triangular shape of the square is curious, but that does not take away nice and neat that stays :)

Where to stay in Tacna

You'll find the bulk of Tacna's accommodations along the Circunvalacion Sur ring road. Hotels range from mid-priced and comfortable, to more exclusive and luxury options offering lots of facilities and services, including onsite restaurants and bars. Simple guesthouses on primarily residential streets serve as the most popular places to stay for budget-conscious travelers, with a good selection found on the city's side streets. Farther from the city center, look for hotels near the main roads, well positioned for those exploring the region by car.
