El Silencio, Punta Hermosa

Beach
Relax on the white sands of El Silencio, or go for a dip in its calm azure waters. The gentle breeze lends itself to windsurfing, while clear waters make swimming and snorkeling enjoyable. No need to bring a picnic; plenty of nearby restaurants serve up a wide variety of snacks and seafood. Look out for the pelicans diving for fresh fish. Be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen as well as a sun umbrella, as there are not many naturally shaded areas on this wide, long beach. Put El Silencio into our Punta Hermosa vacation trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • A good beach which is about 1 hour from downtown Lima. The restaurants will be out on the beach with the food we ordered which is nice. The fish you eat is super fresh and you can see the fishing boats come and go with freshly caught fish. Minus that it is very difficult to swim. The waves are very high and it's very strong current.

  • If only identifying! The police decides whether you pass or not. You have to tell where you're going and what you're going to do! The beach is beautiful, just missing one thing: drinking water! There's no shower to get the salt on the beach, there's no water to wash your hands. But ... they are building! Next summer will probably be all working! Enjoy.
