Pay tribute to the long-fallen warriors of the Colla community at Sillustani, a pre-Incan burial ground perched on the shores of Lake Umayo. A series of funerary towers, some of which are up 12 m (39 ft) high, held the remains of Colla nobles, their families, and plenty of food and possessions to keep them comfortable in the afterlife. Admire the artisanship behind these impressive towers, which have stood since the 15th century. Take a guided tour to fully appreciate the significance of the area, as you'll struggle to find signposted information nearby. Look out for the snake and lizard on the tombs at the top of the hill. Make sure you walk over the back of the site for views of the two lakes.
The view on the top is super! And the builds are so cool
A must do side trip from Puno. Just wait for the views from the top!
Gabriele de parisA Peru some less touristy, sights, though who tells of experiences at Mystic limit has definitely been drinking, as anyone who complains of 4 small shops at the entrance, what to do? Experience that I recommend to make collective from Puno.show original
