Lake Titicaca, Puno

(4.4/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Take a tour of Lake Titicaca, the world-famous lake along the border of Peru and Bolivia. Consider renting a boat and hiring a guide to take you around. Not only will you explore along the water's edge and the local villages there, but you'll also visit the lake's floating reed islands, maintained and inhabited by locals. You can swim here, but expect cold waters in the highest navigable lake in the world. Plan to see Lake Titicaca and other attractions that appeal to you using our Puno vacation planner.

  • We did a tour of all day. Our fia Cleber was native and with extensive knowledge of the culture and history of the site. It was a great learning experience, were the islas Uros and Taquile. Both of unique cultural expression. Worth coming to Puno to know this place.

  • I made a visit on Lake Titicaca following the standard route: visit the floating islands Uros and Taquile island. The experience was very interesting both for the Majesty of the Lake and the panorama for both the natural beauty of the island of Taquile. May day with a magnificent Sun did the setting for a journey not to be missed.

  • Beautiful lake view from hotel Sonesta, choose your hotel carefully by the lake to enjoy the beauty of the lake and to avoid over exertion whilst at high altitudes. We spent days enjoying the view.  more »
