Drink some of the finest organic coffee in the world at La Casa del Corregidor. One of the oldest houses in Puno's city center now takes on the form of a popular café bar. The exterior of the building radiates bright bold colour, with banana yellow dominating the façade with touches of royal blue and burnt orange. • Very nice, chilly patio. The sandwich and coffee was good, although the place is overpriced and the service slow.
  • Waited 50mins and no food or drink arrived so just left! First, waited 30mins, no food or drink. Waitress came back to get our order again (must have lost it), and so we waited again.... kept seeing her deliver drinks to other people for another 20mins so left. She could have at least given us our drinks even if the food would take a while!! Very very bad service!!
  • Great place for coffee or tea. Quiet setting, frappucinos are on point!
  • Nice place, they have good internet, really cool music and table games, the place is beautiful, but sometimes they forget some parts of your orders for big groups. Anyway I loves the place.
  • In the Plaza Del Armas in down Town Puno, Pero close to the police station. It's kinda hidden so you'll have to look for it. Had The Alpaca burger with potato wedges. It was my First Alpaca burger so I was a little worried. Fear not folks, it was good. Even better were The Peruvian nachos. They're actually small pieces of fried bread covered in andean cheese with a side of guacamole. Let me tell you, they were excellent! Go, you'll love those place. Lots of drinks too if that's your thing.

Where to stay in Puno

Despite the appeal of Lake Titicaca, most accommodations in Puno sit several minutes back from the water, around the city center. Hostels, budget guesthouses, and rooms in private homes make up the majority of sleeping options, with a handful of boutique hotels also available. Consider staying somewhere with easy access to local transport, as you'll likely want to head off on daytrips to the surrounding area during your Puno holiday.
