  • The Tambopata Butterfly Farm is the first live butterfly exhibition in Peru. It has more than 15 different species of butterflies breed in captivity. Inside the exhibition you can stroll around surrounded by hundreds of colorful butterflies. Some will stand on you looking for salts. You won't see in the forest as many butterflies all together resting, feeding or mating. You will learn about the butterfly live cycle and see the butterfly immature stages, the egg, the caterpillar and the pupa. During the morning hours it is possible see the butterflies coming out of their pupa. Next to the exhibition there is a nice cafeteria with free wi fi, good snacks and sandwiches, softdriks and craft beer. It is also a nice opportunity to buy a souvenir in the butterfly boutique.
  • Excellent variety of species. Nice place to visit family.
