Reserva Natural Marasha, Puerto Alegria

(4.8/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
At Reserva Natural Marasha, hike through Amazon forest among huge trees, while exploring the diversity of wildlife, such as multicolored parrots and capybaras. Go sport fishing for piranha, take a ride in a kayak, or do some alligator spotting. Other safe and well-organized activities include a canopy zipline, swimming and canoeing in the picture-postcard lake, and guided walks through the jungle. The reserve gets its name from a small, spiny palm that grows around the lake. Relax in clean and comfortable wooden cabins (equipped with nets that keep out mosquitoes and other insects), and listen to the sounds of the jungle. • This accommodation is situated in a tributary of the Amazon. There is a small lagoon. The location is perfect. It is picked in Leticia and the accommodation and there is a a guide to the hours for the entire stay, Roberto, who has done a good job was our. We were hiking in the jungle, went kayaking, watched caimans at night on the river and were fishing. The accommodation is very Spartan but adequate. The food is very, very simple but okay. Drinks are available at any time. All have been very nice. It speaks no English, so you should have some knowledge of Spanish. The morning noises of the jungle are impressive, but you should absolutely take earplugs. We had 3 nights there and the time you should be I think also plan.

  • A wonderful location in the middle of the jungle! You are literally in the Amazon. You can choose to go away alone with a small Canoe or join the wizards around a little individual Lake that is linked to the Amazon River. Nature experience is 10/10.

  • Together with my girlfriend I am here 2 days in a private room. It was at that time was quite calm and relax! The people are friendly, helpful and the food was very delicious. You are sitting on a lodge located on a Lake, in the afternoon there are Capybaras along if you're lucky, further activities such as piranha fishing and a night trip by canoe in search of Caiman. 2 days is fine, longer is not necessary.

  • At first was unsure what to do when we got here. A beautiful lake encircled by massive Cebu trees and full of tiny piranha. Ask your guide and you might be able to fish for them with chicken skin from the cocina. Take the opportunity to kayak the lake and maybe sit in the hammock for a couple minutes. Beautiful.
  • OK...
  • This hotel is magical, it's rustic, does not have many amenities, but it is worthwhile to spend at least one night in the hostel. I'll be back and I will stay at least 1 week to relax and unwind me.

  • On arrival at the start of the walk is accessible to a spectacular view of the Amazon River. The hike is full of gigantic trees. Low season era and is could see the watermark in the bark of trees. Insects, fruits, flowers, roots modified, reptiles and amphibians different. The end of the road is an amazing construction on the banks of the dlnde Lake is having lunch in a common dining room and rest in cool hammocks on the shores of the Lake. Macaws, a pirarucu, a family of Capybaras and ceiba mas big that I've seen in my life awaits you at that point. The return boat has more surprises: birds and monkeys. A journey of beauty, wonder and learning.
