Reserva Natural Marasha, Puerto Alegria
Categories: Wildlife Areas, Nature & Parks
At Reserva Natural Marasha, hike through Amazon forest among huge trees, while exploring the diversity of wildlife, such as multicolored parrots and capybaras. Go sport fishing for piranha, take a ride in a kayak, or do some alligator spotting. Other safe and well-organized activities include a canopy zipline, swimming and canoeing in the picture-postcard lake, and guided walks through the jungle. The reserve gets its name from a small, spiny palm that grows around the lake. Relax in clean and comfortable wooden cabins (equipped with nets that keep out mosquitoes and other insects), and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
