Laguna Yarinacocha, Pucallpa

(4.1/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Iguanas, giant sloths, and various species of bird abound at Laguna Yarinacocha, a pristine lake in verdant surroundings. Take a boat tour to see the magnificent animals in their natural habitat as a tour guide rows you around the peaceful lake, which spans 15 km (9 mi). Locals set up stalls at the lake every day to sell traditional wares and souvenirs. Stock up on fruit, snacks, and drinks in one of the many kiosks and shops at the nearby park.
