Playa Roja, Paracas

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Admire the dramatic contrast of colors on display at Playa Roja, a beach with deep reddish-hued sand, azure waters, and yellow and ochre cliffs. The sand gets its fiery hue from a type of igneous rock known as pink granodiorite, which contains solidified magma. The best and most convenient way of seeing this beach is with an organized tour, as the surrounding national park is too large to explore without guidance and proper vehicles. • It is a unique place, I had never seen a beach so different. It is located in Lagunillas and has a unique spot where you can appreciate the red colors of sand, the blue of the sea and the desert sand yellow

  • Very cute place. The contrast of water incredibly blue with the red sand is fantastic. It is a very windy beach.

  • In the morning Valle stopped by on the island in the afternoon and immediately followed by Stas Paracas National Park tours together. Among them, deulreossdeon, sea and vast desert landscapes are nice.
