Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.

  • One way to cross the Rimac River after visiting the Plaza de Armas is to go over this bridge built in in the early 17th century. Worth strolling across and pretending you were a Spanish conquistador.  more »

  • While the municipality follow according to the problems that still need to correct in this district. Thank you Mr. municipality, also I must say that for approximately three weeks, the lines coming from ancon or any district to lima, (via el salvador) through avoidance, starting from 8 or 9 at night, go under the bridge, not rise by the autorizadoo whereabouts of the oval stone bridge, although it is true that there are works in process but should be required that meet their travel through any AC , also from that time is no man's land, there is a van of serenazgo only limited to see the stacking of vehicles that block the traffic. Thank you
