Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.

  • Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Whether it's your first time climbing or you're experienced there is a good variety to choose from on both the high walls and in the bouldering section.  more »

  • My favorite place in Lima! The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. I'm a beginner and my friend is an intermediate climber and we both benefitted greatly from the classes.
  • Pirqa is a pretty small climbing place, but its walls are pretty tall and extend the 2nd floor open patio, which gives you views of the street and surrounding neighborhood (both good and bad) while you're climbing. No AC but the entire place is out in the open, which is fine most of year-round except specific hours where the sun directly hits a couple of the walls. The bouldering section is short and compact but it has a lot of holds for you to create your own routes and train- but this place is mostly meant for rope climbing. Staff is really nice and they are flexible with needs. The patio restaurant/cafe is surprisingly popular since they get a decent amount of people that just go to eat (and not climb).
  • Great place to learn how to climb and a super atmosphere to hang out.

  • One of the best options to do sport in Miraflores. Walls 15 meters of climbing, training rooms, a great café and a shop to buy equipment. If you like rock climbing is the point!
