  • We have already several times by Peru traveled, but our this year's journey in the August 2017 (for the first time with Peruvian soul) has surpassed all our expectations! Planning, management and execution were great. Diego Zimmermann (General Manager of peruvian soul) has a tour put together for us, in which we much closer and more intense could meet with our activities the land and the people with their culture. The journey was individually designed according to our wishes and professionally conducted away from the usual mainstreams. We have us feel always safe and had lots of fun. We already know that we again are planning our next Peru trip a young company, with peruvian soul, the they to be trusted with any time. Thank you Diego, Nico thank you for your great work! We wish you continued this love and passion for this beautiful country with its magnificent scenery and its people. Gabriela and GERD

  • In 21 days with Diego Zimmermann Peru: Lima out Huayuash - entered then to Rupac, to trekking in the Cordillera both tours memorable. Next it went to Cusco, where rafting, mountain biking and of course Machu Picchu were on the agenda. The Amazon in Puerto Maldonado was a highlight of this journey. Everything was well organized, the agencies with the guides on the spot very well chosen. With Diego as a travel companion (he also always knew where you can eat well :-), this was a godsend for our 9 person group between the ages of 27-66.) Peruvian soul with Diego and his partner Nico you can recommend in good conscience.

  • That Peru is a diverse country, we already knew. What we have in these 21 days with Diego Zimmermann (Peruvian soul) have done and experienced, "Adrenaline & variety pur" was. After our arrival in Lima went then ever right at 3800m to Rupac. Next it went then to Huaraz, where we US 2 days in the shade of the Huascarán (highest mountain in Peru - 6760m) have acclimatized to the altitude. Then started our 4-day Huayhuash tour... Overnights on over 4000m, 8-hour walks were rewarded with breathtaking mountain scenery. We were accompanied by a great team the Diego Carpenter has arranged for us. The guides were very professional and always the right feeling for our needs. Our chefs have every day with wonderful food (freshly cooked) pampers us and kept in a good mood--who ate ever fresh French Fries at 4400 m? Next it went to Cusco, where we visited some fascinating Inca site (with Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu, Ollaytantambo). Then, two sporting highlights were on the programme with a rafting and a mountain bike tour. Both was pure adrenaline! Although both tours were not quite harmless we had always feel safe by the professional teams with excellent equipment. Our next stop was the jungle in Tambopata, here we were housed in Super great lodges. From here, we explored the fascinating flora and fauna of the jungle with our German-speaking and well trained guides. A big thank you to the team of Peruvian soul. Especially when Diego and Nico for the great and professional organization. Through the uncomplicated, human almost chummy style of Diego, the whole group has experienced an unforgettable journey of Peru. We can travel with Peruvian tell a soul with a clear conscience. Good luck Peruvian soul, makes it! your friends from Austria Carmen Werner, Thomas

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
