Parque El Olivar, Lima
(4.3/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Admire the olive grove and the avian life at Parque El Olivar, a lush oasis in the heart of Lima. The park contains over 1,500 olive trees that still bear fruit, some of them dating from 1560 when Antonio de Rivera brought the first olives from Seville. Reserve a guided tour to learn about the history of the grove, or just take a relaxing walk among the trees and ponds. In addition to its picnic and exercise space, the park is also a haven for birdwatchers. You can spot over thirty species here--plaques distributed around the grounds display information and pictures of the birds. • Park formed by ancient olive trees belonging to a plantation that remains preserved and integrated into the urban garden. You can see many places walking or taking their children for a walk. Very nice and pleasant.

  • A park located in the so-called forest El Olivar, although in essence would be the same. The Park is very quiet and safe. Good place to rest or relax under the trees. Does not offer many attractions to the public rather than a man-made lagoon.
