Among the cool greenery of Parque de la Reserva, admire one of the largest fountain complexes in the world. Water features include jets shooting over 80 m (262 ft) in the air, tunnels of water through which you can walk, and interactive fountains for children to play in. Every evening, the fountain transforms with a water, light, and laser show, synchronized to music. The park also houses many sculptures by Peruvian artists, and various monuments and buildings in a neoclassical style. Kids can ride a small train around the park. Consider bringing a change of clothes if you plan on splashing in the fountains. Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.

  • Parque de la Reserva is a stunning water park. Entry is free early in the day, and a small charge applies later on. There are 13 major fountains, all of which are impressive and interesting. Three of them are set up for playing in, with interactive features. There are minimum age limits for playing in the fountains (around 11 or so years, but differs for various fountains). Guards will blow their whistles and chase out children who are too young. A pity really, because younger children really enjoy fountain play on a hot day. A separate childrens play area offers inflatable slides and other play equipment for children, but it's at extra cost. After dusk the fountains are illuminated, some with white light but others with dynamic patterns of coloured lights. It's quite amazing, and some of the fountains have lighting which is quite "over-the-top". In addition there are three special light shows each evening, where animated images are projected onto the largest fountain, with good effect.
  • Lugar pintoresco de la ciudad, cuenta con piletas espectaculares y jardines prolijamente cuidados. Se recomienda visitarlo al final de la tarde, a las 7 aprox. los fines de semana tienen un show de luces en las piletas inolvidable.
  • Great place to visit in the evening. Lots of green space, things for kids to do, many fountains to admire and light show. Probably wouldn't come during the day. There is a large splash pad as well.
  • Great way to spend two hours any evening. 4 Sol entry. 3 shows (15 min duration), starting at 7:15pm, 8:15 and ... you guessed .. 9:15pm.
  • NICE PARK KOOL PLACE TO RELAX AND KICK BACK WITH A LOVED ONE OR YOUR BELOVED FAMILY
