Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.

  • Interesting Museum. I would have liked to hear the explanation of a guide, however there were posters with clear and accurate information. The staff is friendly and there is security. I recommend visiting it and marvel at all the coins and banknotes circulating in our country from the Viceroyalty until today.
