Opened in 2010, the museum houses over 30 rooms displaying films and multimedia exhibits on subjects ranging from pre-Hispanic times, to an earthquake simulation, to a projection of Lima in the year 2050. Although guided tours are in Spanish and no translators are available, the visually stimulating exhibits should entertain and educate in any case.   • The multimedia tour is a great way to get to know the history of Lima. The only catch is that it's in Spanish, and some of the recreations are not apt for young kids.  more »

  • It is a monumental Museum, it is interactive, in which you can meet the Lima pre-Hispanic, colonial and Republican. If vam with children like it much. It is a free Museum and also parking (this if I have to pay, but it is comfortable). Highly recommended!

  • "It was" really the best Museum that had the Peru, had rooms 3D and 4 d. I remember that followed the following route: Inca, Viceroyalty and Republican stage. It is not currently active, because the incompetent Mayor Castañeda left it abandoned 😤
