  • The Museum is very well taken care of and with about 45,000 pieces of ceramics and gold. Excellent for knowing the timeline of Peru's history because Mr. Larco is a deep connoisseur of archaeology and developed a theory considering the excavation layers with civilizations that lived in Peru almost 2,000,000 years ago. In addition the building is very charming and surrounded by very colorful plants and flowers. On the underside of the Museum has a sophisticated restaurant with high-level service.

  • Probably qdo if you talk about Peru you remember the Incas, right? So at Museo Larco you discover that the Inca Civilization existed for less than 300 years and that those who came before are over 5000 years old! Wonderful details of adornments, fabrics, jewelry, masks and texts that explain everything, besides the beautiful Garden around the house! What's more, a sensational restaurant so you can stay easy about 4 to 5 hours there! Wonder of walking, which enriches culture.

  • First because the building is beautiful. The gardens are breathtaking! The colors of the flowers... Second because there you have a real notion of pre-Inca civilizations. The collection is huge. The visit is a great experience! I recommend lunch at the restaurant

  • Fascinating overview of Peruvian history seen through the pottery, silver & textiles produced throughout the centuries by very industrious and creative societies. I've always thought of the Incas when considering Peru, but now realize after this trip that the Incas were at the tail end of a long line of peoples; Chimu, Mochica, etc. etc.; each of which made their own contribution to what Peru is today. Still wondering who invented the "stirrup & spout" pottery design...plenty of those at this nice museum. Very interesting "erotic" pottery section...makes you realize that humans aren't very different 1,000 years on...
  • I loved this place, it has some first guides, in English and Spanish. Because I was a student, they made me a discount on the ticket. It also has some spaces to relax like gardens and free water dispensers! And inside there is a restaurant and souvenir shop. They accepted the pics with out flash.
  • Excellent museum, lovely surroundings. Informative, historically accurate in their narrative. Excellent time spend there. AND their restaurant is among the best in Lima, teach, lunch, dinner, whatever, its all good. A truly cultural experience. A must visit. Make sure you separate enough time to enjoy all it has to offer.
  • I really loved the exhibits here. The artifacts are in excellent condition, well displayed, and very cool. You can lay in the gardens on mats and just relax for a bit. The flora is beautiful. Really a must see.
  • A gorgeous, historic museum! I still have my visitor sticker on my phone case almost 6 months later. Neat exhibits and so much to see... Amazing price and tourists are more than welcome. Must see when visiting Peru.
