  • Museo de la Electricidad is a small museum about...yes, you guessed it, electricity! I saw a couple of groups of young students go through and decided to check it out as well. It's free, it's cute and...  more »

  • As it was included in the night of museums, there was a roulette and prizes, visit was fun, it is true that they are many things to see in a small space, perhaps could improve the distribution, by the others was very nice.

  • This is a small, well kept museum with the story of electrical generation, substation equipment, transformers and other electric devices. Free entry, offering wonderful exhibits of restored equipment and a variety of electric appliances including ham radios, two "Wurlitzer Rocolas" and an operating trolley. It is a great place for kids and the trolley ride is fun. The trolley rails need to be repaired and Barranco should seriously get a fund raiser to fix them. Also, people who live along the track right-of-way should have the common sense not to park on the tracks. It ruins the ride for everyone.
  • Free and fun quick stop. Had small activities built into the learning which makes it fun to walk around.
  • I don't think it's that impressive a museum to visit. Very small and not-so-great exhibitions, sadly.
  • For kids
  • The Museum of electricity is a major Recreation Center. In one he learns many things related to the past, present and future of electricity. Equipped with various simulators and prototypes. They offer free courses in the summers of Robotics dedicated to children of the House.

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
