  • It is a beautiful monastery, highlights your library (for my more beautiful than the one in San Francisco). They are the tombs of St. Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima, the monastery is nice with the decoration of tiles, one of the best tours in Lima but nothing that you be surprised that you have traveled and visited sites.

  • Lima feel a special affection for this place. They recount that in these patios and galleries lived Holy moreno whereby they feel great devotion. They have the bold small is hung from strings to sound the bells.

  • Honestly the Church would have been better off not advertising a wedding fair on the cathedral. It felt a bit "Jesus chases out the money changers from the Temple". Beautiful building but the ads were in bas taste
  • Beautiful cloisters and convent started in 1551. Tombs of Saint Martin de Porres 1579-1639 and Saint Rose of Lima 1586-1617.
  • Nice atmosphere.
  • Should not be limited to the Church: it is worth to visit the convent. A guided tour is included in the price of the ticket. The flowery cloisters are nice. Beautiful buildings and historical library. Now there is also the opportunity to climb to the top of the Bell Tower (with guide) for a view of Lima!

  • The masses are beautiful, and above all the interior of the Church; If we are lucky, you can access the inner courtyards and see the Majesty of its decoration.

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
