  • Santa Rosa of Lima very nice statue by a Maltese sculptor Melchior Gafa' 1665
  • Honestly the Church would have been better off not advertising a wedding fair on the cathedral. It felt a bit "Jesus chases out the money changers from the Temple". Beautiful building but the ads were in bas taste
  • Beautiful cloisters and convent started in 1551. Tombs of Saint Martin de Porres 1579-1639 and Saint Rose of Lima 1586-1617.
  • Nice atmosphere.
  • The Church is a marvel inside; However, the wonderful thing is the convent Museum, where artistic exhibitions as well as there are historical parts of Santa Rosa, as his tomb and where he spent his days the also Holy San Martín de Porres. It is interesting to go with guide for the first time, but as in all tour, at the next without it, for to be able to take the time to be (re) want to take pictures, among others. General admission is S/10, but for students showing the University card, it is s/5. The tour lasts about 1 hour; but can last longer depending on how long delay one at the belfry.

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
