Miraflores, Lima

4.7
#1 of 16 in Neighborhoods in Peru
As one of the most affluent and popular districts in the Peruvian capital, Miraflores holds many points of interest for you to discover. Explore the ruins of a pre-Inca mud-brick temple, relax or surf on the stretch of rocky beaches, stroll through one of several parks, and soak up some culture at a cinema, theater, or art gallery. You can also indulge in some retail therapy at a wide range of shops, boutiques, and malls. When hunger strikes, choose from an abundance of trendy cafes and restaurants; there's even a whole street dedicated to pizza. With lots of pubs, bars, and nightclubs, the district remains bustling well into the evening. Make Miraflores part of your personalized Lima itinerary using our Lima attractions planner.

  • Neighborhood approximately 40-60 minutes by taxi from the airport of Lima. This is a very secure residential area, where you can turn quietly down the street at night. Many hotels, shops and restaurants. The main street Larco, ending the Ocean (top view, to reach the beaches you have to step off the cliff). Here lies the Larcomar shopping mall (international firms with European prices). Many seafood restaurants with medium-high prices. Recommended as a base for visiting Lima.

  • Without a doubt one of the best districts of the city of Lima is Miraflores district, parks that are along all the Boardwalk are very well cared and lend themselves to activities in family or friends. The gastronomic offer is second to none, there are restaurants for all tastes and pockets, cinemas, theatres, and a large etc.

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
