#3 of 41 in Shopping in Lima
Find everything you need in the large Jockey Plaza, a shopping mall filled with both mid-range and high-end stores. Roam the long corridors lined with international and local boutiques, or spend a pleasant afternoon window-shopping. Drop by the theater for the newest flicks, get some ice cream or a snack at the food court, and visit one of the restaurants for a satisfying meal. • Variety of shops, the best brands in one place. A great place to indulge and enjoy. On my visit to lima, I have gone several times. It is quite large and will need time to explore it fully. If you come to lima, don't forget to visit it

  • Good atmosphere. Fine care. Good very well presented food. Delicious coffee. Very good iced tea. If you want a more exclusive place separate from the food court, it is worth going to Danika

  • Definitely not a place to go during weekends. It is so crowded you can barely walk. And getting there by car is just a mess. I don't know how this mall has not managed to get a grip on the parking sit...  more »

  • Big shopping mall with some big warehouses like Ripley, Saga Falabella and Oechsle. Also a lot of small shops, restaurants and a cinema. Feels like a safe place, usually pretty busy though. They have their own taxi service with reasonable prices (no haggling). If you need a taxi find their stand close to the supermarket near the entrance.
  • The mall is pretty big and modern for Peru. I rate it 3 stars because it’s disorganzed, crowded and many stores racially profile you. The unofficial Spanish caste system is still alive and well in Peru, and especially in Lima, it appears if you don’t dress or look a certain way while shopping in a luxury store, it’s questionable as to why you are there.
  • I love this mall because you can find almost anything here, from food and clothing to electronics it's a no brainer whenever I'm in Lima. I highly recommend that you go early for a shopping trip if you don't like crowds and want a more relaxed experience.
  • Huge shopping centre with lots of different retailers represented. The shops are located both inside and outside the centre. There is also loads of places to eat, from fast food venues to pricy restaurants. Car parking is available and the centre is well serviced by taxis.
  • Best mall in Peru. Period. Better than 90% of the malls in USA. Everything from haute de couture to H&M and everything in between...

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
