  • We arrived in this church by Subway (the BRT de Lima) jumping in Tacna Station. In terms of facades it is one of the most beautiful of Lima. Its interior is also stunning: the main altar as the sides. Visiting times are a little ingrates: early morning or late afternoon. We went to 5:00 pm and found it open. Do not forget to visit her.

  • Lima boasts dozens of this type of construction. And this is at the height of the majority. It is not of the most attractive, but meets requirement to visit the typical architecture of Lima who like to.

  • How beautiful it is to visit churches, as a place of meditation and prayer, or as historical monument if you're not Catholic, whatever the motive is good to visit the beautiful churches located mostly in the historical center of Lima. San Marcelo has a Churrigueresque and rococo façade. Inside save a beautiful altarpiece dedicated to the Virgen de los Remedios, who welcomes the pilgrims, their children from the Altar. The parish church of San Marcelo, created in 1585 is one of the most beautiful and traditional Lima's colonial temples. In its interior are venerated images of San Marcelo, Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, El Señor de Caña, La Virgen Dolorosa, José and Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo. The seven churches on the evening of Holy Thursday - that in some places extends to the morning of Friday Saint - is without a doubt one of the most common traditions of Easter throughout Latin America. These visits and prayer each one symbolizes the accompaniment of the faithful to Jesus, in each of their travels on the night that was imprisoned until his crucifixion. In Lima it is easy to follow this tradition to find almost all the churches very closely. Visiting the churches of Lima can be seen the influence Spanish in each of them, most covered with bronze leaf and in some other cases of gold leaf. I love my church and I invite you to get to know them, not be regret
