Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.

  • Nice place to meet Pisco and share in family. Food has five 3-star, everything is fresh and attention is good but it can improve, I feel that liveliness lack them! Pisco is very good and Azpitia is a delight to the eyes from the viewpoint, a beautiful valley of vineyards.

  • After walking looking the Valley of bad, is ideal end the day going to the Sarcay de Azpitia. This place sells food, cocktails based on pisco, feature a cellar and a tour which is the best that I have attended.

  • Excellent attention in the winery tour to learn the process of elaboration of Pisco. The explanation on the varieties, processing, quality control and the final tasting are excellent. Definitely recommend going to the winery for this tour even with foreign people. However even without a translation service for what you have to do yourself. But the friendly guide explains very well and is patient and kind.
