Church and Sanctuary of Saint Rose of Lima, Lima
(4.1/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Saint Rosa serves as the primary patroness of Peru and of the indigenous peoples of Latin America, making Church and Sanctuary of Saint Rose of Lima an important stop to learn more of the country’s religious history. The red-and-white church is built on the spot where Saint Rosa was born and the home that she turned into a hospital for the poor. She earned sainthood by dedicating her life to helping the needy and sick--you'll see the statue of this remarkable woman standing outside. Visit this grand church to learn more about her life and legacy; enter to admire the manicured gardens and make a wish in the wishing well. • The Cathedral is located in the city centre as drawn by Pizarro. Rebuilt on several occasions has a Baroque façade. The '' inside carved colonial style Kingdom altars: the vault bone remains of Pizarro, identified numerous shots of edged weapon that led to death

  • Oh this place is also historically the city of Lima and reflects the life of our Holy Limena, but is at the same time... hummm as explain it sad that much damage was done, and loving God is not injured love God is follow his teachings as much as is possible and if it makes mistakes as repent of heart. Santa Rosa was very fervent and their faith never fainted until the end
