The seaport connected Peru with the rest of the world since colonial times, and today contains Lima's international airport. Explore the harbor area lined with small wooden houses and seafood restaurants, or relax on one of the pebbled beaches. • With a group of friends we decided to rent a yacht, and exit to stroll through Callao, the experience was more beautiful. We were 10 friends, the journey began at 9 am. We went with the idea of fun, many of them had not gone to a yacht. We stayed until 5 p.m. Observed in open sea panorama, sunset was like living a film, we take our food and drinks to really enjoy a spectacular evening, the Group of friends we have taken some 100 photos, cell phones and cameras were girls. The divided price among a group came out really comfortable. If someone is encouraged is best reached by taxi to callao, output is on the side of the Real Felipe, if you are preferable to foreigner go with a local guide, is a journey that not to miss it.

  • I liked El Callao. I went from Miraflores in taxi and I cost 20 soles. I met its Waterfront, the square and the fortress. Coming out of the tip and the tourist area it is not nothing is certain.

Where to stay in Lima

One of Peru's most expensive destinations, Lima offers accommodations that range from modern hotel high-rises to family-run guesthouses. Most visitors stay in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro, three of the city's safest and prettiest neighborhoods, which offer a good selection of budget lodgings. For something truly authentic, look for hotels located in restored mansions, many of which offer pleasant rooms overlooking manicured enclosed gardens, ideal for enjoying romantic meals or hosting small private parties.
