  • Leimebamba is a beautiful village and the landscapes are welcome. But there the night to visit the Museum, as did we, not worth it. In the Museum teach you a room full of mummies (of course, see them from a glass) and do not allow you to take photos. Not because the mummies will be damaged, because the light conditions that have there are not optimal to preserve them, and as always there is someone watching because it is a small museum, they could do without flash. The truth is that they do not let you take pictures because if people see what's in the Museum it would go. I recommend you do a search on Google, because there are images of what houses the Museum. Judge whether it is worthwhile.

  • I cannot imagine a better presentation of the facts and mysteries of pre-Inca South America. An intimate museum, blessedly free of endless shelves of objects. The mummies are breathtaking
  • We liked the design/layout, the materials and the "flow" of the exhibits. It is unique. Liked it and I am squeamish as far as the mummies go.
