  • It is a very beautiful but different church you are a mausoleum inside as well as catacombs, a St. James riding horse of true course, dissected and an impressive arqyuitectura and a glass tiles that Church is well strange but I would 100% recommend not to be missed, and to Crown the mausoleum a replica of piety of Miguel Angel in aluminum and if they go to the municipality are another replica of plaster where the own baticano take a mold when a crazy damage the original

  • It is a Jesuit Temple which was built of adobe and stone during the colony and its roof has beautiful glazed tiles of colors. It has an altar in silver and in the choir there is a body of wood brought from Belgium in 1620. There are religious relics brought from Spain, sculptures in plaster and paintings of the Cuzco school. It is made a tour of the catacombs where the guide tells several stories, including that there would be a secret path to a rich gold mine... There is a mausoleum in black marble where lie the remains of the great benefactor of Lampa, the mining engineer Enrique Torres Belon, along with a lot of skulls and long bones of people who were important. The, thanks to his friendship with papa Juan XXIII, got to this mausoleum copy Crystal plaster of the Michelangelo's Pieta. And may not be used by the weight, got a second copy but lighter, aluminium. Both exist. In the temple you can admire the of aluminium. To visit the temple, should give a mite of between 3 to 5 soles per person. Be preferably in the morning.

  • Came in a lovely little town on the way to Titikaku Lamp specially for this unique Church of the Apostle Santiago. It was built from the coastal shingle, cemented by the mortar of lime. The time of its erection to mid-17th century, when the Church was later restored under the leadership of a mining engineer, a famous and popular in Enrique Torres Belona, the pociej Chapel is a beautiful, ornate marble. Specially from the Vatican was brought a form of plaster statues of famous La Pieta ("the mourning of Christ) created by Michelangelo, which cast a copy of the original statue and crowned her Chapel. Form to be destroyed after casting on the Treaty, was not destroyed, and exhibited in the Town Hall. Exquisite carving and painting, beauty in the colonial era masters of the school of Cuzco and Quito, richly adorn the Interior of the Chapel itself is that it is decorated with human skeletons. Skeletons of hundreds of priests, owners of estates and Spanish miners hang on the walls. The bones were transferred here after Torres Belon ordered to fill cement catacombs, to reinforce the Foundation of the Church. Fabulous! Recommend all lovers of history.
