  • For July 2016 (national holiday) I traveled alone to Huancayo for the first time. I hired a tour and climbed the Huaytapallana. They are 3-hour climb up the snowy and 3 hours of descent. For when I went there were a lot of people but in reality it was not negative because everyone is going on its way. Yes I consider it necessary that we need to have physical or at least resistance and go / to. I got scared at times when the way to pass was narrow but easy can be, you must be careful when you come to the snow because as 2 girls twisted the ankle and had to lower them 3 hours back on a table with all the fog that has hardly been seen. All 100% recommend it and if you have more queries can write me!

  • I've done some trekking, but this has been one of the most challenging thing I've ever had. For a little and I ran out of life (hahaha). I recommend rise very slowly because if won't them go all the oxygen. If you can, carry oxygen or make sure that your guide will lead. To do this visit from their second day in Huancayo as so they acclimatize. Not drink liquor or smoke anything before boarding so they have all the available oxygen.

  • It was my first Trek and ultimately the most extreme I've ever had so far. By a friend traveler we learned this snowy and seeing the images we felt spectacular. The tour begins early by it tomorrow and is make stops to get to the point of split for the walk. We walked for almost 4 hours and Yes you have to have much physical to get. Walked by hour and half and already I could see a beautiful lagoon. The photos are girls for this beautiful snowy. I was in June of 2015 and we could see snow, however, the guide told us that years ago was more beautiful and more snow. Highly recommended but you must be very physical so initiate the descent in time and do not grasp them frost.
