Casa de Fierro, Iquitos

Categories: Architectural Buildings, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
1.6/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
Likely the first prefabricated house in the Americas, Casa de Fierro is believed to have been designed by Gustave Eiffel, though there's no real proof this is true. Bought in Paris by a 19th-century rubber baron, the structure remains an outstanding example of  civil architecture. Don't miss a stop on the second floor, home to a small restaurant.
