(4.4/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
With a history dating back to the 16th century, Tacama remains one of the best places to visit if you wish to find out about the local winemaking traditions. Take in the views of the vineyards from the top of the hacienda's main building, listening to the guide discuss the history of winemaking at this facility. Learn about the techniques used to harvest the grapes and turn them into bottled spirits, and discover just how the methods have changed over the years. Sample pisco--Peru's national spirit--made here along with a range of wines. Stop by the onsite restaurant to see how wines can be paired with tasty local dishes. • Tacama is the oldest vineyard of Am. Latin with nearly 470 years. Stunning property in the middle of the vineyards. Very interesting visit with a nice guide and a tasting at the end. All for free! For those who wish, the area houses an excellent restaurant ("El Tambo") very good Peruvian food at reasonable prices and great service!

  • We were in March in Peru and really knew who had such good wines, if one isn't in ICA you can not go to visit this Winery attended by 5 generations of the same owners, dedication in every one of the details is really noticeable! The spectacular restaurant food, well prepared super grooms! Really congratulate them!
