  • To be done only if you pass by. We were on our way to Nazca and stopped there for visit and lunch. Friendly staff but not to be recommended.  more »
  • Excellent fundo, make you tour showing you the process from grape stomping to its process for the manufacture of wines and pisco. Very picturesque first class attention and make you taste all kinds of liquors. You can buy want them it. Very good restaurant with typical food of the region. Do not miss it.

  • We went to El Catador as part of a Nazca Lines trip. It was interesting and we got to test some of the wines which were not bad if you like sweeter wines. We did buy some along with some Pisco.  more »

  • Did a wine making tour around here which was totally different to what I had expected. We saw the 4 areas used to make the wines and the process behind them (about 40 minutes) and then got taking to the main shop and tried about 16 shots of wine and pisco (obviously the highlight). The guide taking the tour was extremely nice and very informative, however, the tour itself didn't seem particularly enthralling. The whole experience was very well priced and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! The locals around also give you more free booze to try so we ended up being ridiculously drunk! Well worth a visit.
  • Did a wine tasting tour and had lunch there. Only flaw (which is significant) is the lack of an. English menu!!
  • Had a cool tour of the Pisco making equipment and a fun guide through the wine/Pisco tasting. The flavoured Pisco drinks are good.
  • Its an interesting place to spend an hour learning about the old ways of producing Pisco. They no longer prodcue pisco here as tourists kept ruining the batches of wine/pisco. Tastings are great and the creme version of pisco is delicious :)
  • Very nice city to visit awesome people

Where to stay in Ica

Like a true desert oasis, the city of Ica tends not to worry about providing luxury facilities and services for its visitors. Instead, the comfort of its accommodations rests in their convenient placement on a spot of green in the middle of the desert. Choose from simple hotels and backpacker-friendly hostels in the middle of town, and a number of relaxed resort-style hotels dotted along the main arterial roads leading out of the urban area.
