South Adventure Peru Tours is a family-owned business, created 15 years ago by Ruben & Tatiana. We decided to make use of our experience and knowledge to open our Tour Agency so that we could provide the highest quality tours around South Peru; but there was also an opportunity for us to help many of the young people in Cusco starting their careers and to provide some of the poorer communities around the Cusco Region with revenue to help sustain their livelihoods.

We specialise in Extended and Family tours around South Peru. We will take you to the most stunning regions such as Ica Region, Paracas Reserve, Nazca City, Colca Canyon, Lares Valley, Ballestas Island, Lake Titicaca and of course to many of the stunning historical Incan sites such as the famous Machu Picchu, Choquequirao, Sacred Valley and more.

Our team visits and thoroughly investigates all destinations, services and amenities featured on our luxury tours to Peru so we can be sure we are offering the best quality, services and price for you.

We welcome you to Peru and Cusco and hope that you will embrace our ethos and have a great time while you are here with us.
A visit to South Adventure Peru Tours represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Cusco visit planning website to plot your vacation.

  • My family with 13 members aged 30-75 just did a 6 day tour with this company at the end of April and LOVED everything . They took care of everything (site entrances. transportation, hotels, meals, guides, etc) and found really wonderful hotels and places to eat and took us to incredible sites. The hikes they picked were terrific! I particularly liked their flexibility as all other companies that I talked with were not flexible. We were able to do things at our own speed and. enjoy the sites. They also accommodated the different abilities of our group. They were responsive to our needs, answered our emails quickly and had the best knowledgeable local guides and comfortable transportation. I plan to book with them again.
  • Did not managed to booked a tour with them because they were very honest about the bad weather conditions for humantay lagoon and rainbow mountain this time of the year. Would have booked with them if we have more time in Cusco. Thumbs up for honesty.
  • In July, my family took the most incredible trip to Peru with the guides of South Adventure Peru Trips. I had been fascinated by the Incas ever since studying elementary school, but was always intrigued to learn more, past what was taught in the classroom. This trip really fulfilled all hopes of increasing understanding of the beautiful Incan culture while also allowing me and my family to rewind and reset. Matt and other guides not only had a vast knowledge of the Incas, but were very aware of the impact and presence of their culture in everyday Peruvian life. We were able to have discussions and ask a myriad of question to all the guides, allowing us to compare lifestyles, history, stereotypes, etc. Ruben had planned and organized each day so well that my family and I were able to focus on absorbing as many memories and moments as we could without worrying about scheduling. Additionally, within my family, members had different preferences, backgrounds, and strengths, and the guides were able to intrigue and support everyone. My mom had difficulty with altitude sickness on Lares trail, and she was provided with a personal guide so she could continue the trip with the rest of us. Overall, we returned to the US with new found understanding in our pockets and a refreshed motivation to approach the world.
  • Fabulous family run tour agency - very happy with our Peru private tours. Just check and reconfirm you know exactly what you are getting to avoid any misunderstanding. Highly recommended and lovely people.
  • My husband and I recently traveled to Peru for the first time. Our trip with South Adventure Peru Tours (SAPT) was fantastic. It is not simply the arrangements that were outstanding, it is the organization’s culture that is its strength. After having contacted six different Peru travel agents only one was truly responsive in a timely manner. Ruben, the owner of SAPT, a family operation, contacted us directly in Canada by phone. After a discussion as to what we were looking for in a trip, he promised to get back to us the next day with an itinerary and a price. As promised he did this while each of the other 5 agents provided little, to no, follow-up to my emails. The itineraries that eventually arrived from all six agents were quite similar as was the pricing. But the clear differentiator was Ruben’s personal attention to us. This customer service was provided by the entire SAPT family from start to finish. When I called the 1-800 number for answers to my questions the person at the other end be it Tatiana, Ruben’s wife or Jean Pierre, one of the dedicated employees to whom Ruben refers to as one of the SAPT family, knew who I was and was able to help me as needed. The trip itself, from Jean Pierre’s first meeting Steve and me at the Cusco airport that first day to his delivering us on the last day of our eight-day visit in the Sacred Valley and to Machu Picchu, was exquisitely planned and executed. One example highlights the simple attention to detail that may have been missed by other organizations. It did not go unnoticed that on each of our train rides our reserved seats were always on the more scenic side of the train. Ruben’s taking the time to ensure that we have the best possible experience in Peru was appreciated by Steve and me. These small, but important, aspects of our trip, was evident at every hotel and with each of the highly trained guides; Marie and Patrick had extensive knowledge of the sites that we visited. Their passion brought the history and culture of Peru alive and created a desire in us to learn more. With each day we awoke with new expectations as to what we would see and learn in this wonderful country. South Adventure Peru Tours is certainly a family business with high ethical standards. Each member of the family be it Ruben, Tatiana, Jean Pierre, Maria, Santos, Patrick, Sebastian as well as the other members, achieves this high standard of excellence in having delivered the best possible experience. Thank you to everyone at South Adventure Peru Tours for sharing your country with us in such a memorable way. Sincerely, Debbie and Steve
