  • It is one of my very favorite in Cusco and I love the square front there are several places to drink or eat something

  • The Plaza del Regocijo is located less than 150 metres from the Plaza de Armas of Cuzco, maybe this is not so striking or lose some charm (on the street in the Middle, which joins both squares, is the Arotz Office to buy or remove entries from Machu Picchu. In the surroundings of the square can be found a wide gastronomical offer both for lunch as for dinner or to drink something cool and take refuge from the heat. The municipality of Cusco, having inside a museum to visit is also (Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporanei), Garzilzo de la Vega House and Museum of Regional history. Also in this square is where you go to look to go to the Observatory (reservation required).

  • The appropriate name for this Plaza given it means Plaza of Rejoicing or Patio of Happiness in Quechua (originally called Cusipata). The ancient Incans would use the Plaza to celebrate community festivals of less serious significance to those observed in the nearby Plaza de Armas (called Aucayoata/Wayak Pata or Huacapata in Quechua).
  • A cute little city square with a fountain in the middle. Some nice shops around it and the Museum of Contemporary Art is there too. Many tour groups meet here in the mornings and evenings. Very safe area. Good place to hang out.
  • I stumbled upon this hidden gem on my way to the Catedral and the main Plaza de Armas. It manages to be secluded and peaceful while being just steps away from the touristy hustle and bustle
  • Fantastic place. Full of history. Very good restaurants and an amazing view.
  • Cool plaza off of the main one with great restaurants and some nice native trees.
